Investment Club members see regular deal flow through quarterly club meetings and have the opportunity to directly invest on a deal-by-deal basis. Club members will have the opportunity to invest in businesses through a syndicate structure OR through direct investments with the business.
We are in the process of forming an advisory deal team with experienced investors to run a first pass at deals presented to the investing members.
Investment club members will see at least 8 deals annually. For reference, in 2022 members have already had access to 12 deals and invested in 4.
Please note that you must be an accredited investor to join our Investment Club but those interested who are not yet accredited may join as an Investment Club Observer.
Club members have the ability to participate actively or passively. Active participation offers club members the opportunity to earn deal carry on a deal-by-deal basis.
Direct investments do not include fees of any kind. Syndication fees may be partially or fully covered by your annual membership fee.
Our syndications charge a nominal 10% carry. Please note that most investment clubs charge upwards of 20-25% for deal carry. We currently do not charge any management fees.
All are welcome.
"Curious about angel investing, I enrolled in She's Independent's course. Natalie explained how to vet companies, what should be part of a company's "pitch", how to evaluate employee stock grants, and more. She even introduced us to a fund manager to learn how she evaluates early stage companies. Incredibly helpful guidance as I head down this new path." -Rachel M
"Thank you for the most excellent communication, explanation of terms/definitions, and follow through. I told you I needed “investing for dummies”, and I wasn’t kidding, but you’re making the process much less intimidating, so thank you!!!" -Nicole M.

"As someone new to investing, the exposure to such a broad knowledge-base was incredible. I learned about so many things that I would have never even thought to research had I continued solely on trying to teach myself all this material. The wisdom and experience brought to the table increased my understanding of investing exponentially." -Nate F
"I have taken both the Sales Bootcamp and Early-Stage Investing Courses through She's Independent. I appreciate how Natalie instructs using her experience, specific examples, and simple slides with few words. I applied many of the Sales Bootcamp concepts to my Business Development role immediately. For instance, Natalie reminded us to "always ask for the work." That was on my mind when I found an opportunity to ask a potential customer, "would you like to skip the demo and start talking about a lease?" In the Early-Stage Investing Course, I valued the diverse perspectives shared through different investor interviews. As someone new to direct early-stage investing, the course introduced thought-provoking concepts that will help guide my future path." -Ellen W
More information on The Club:
She's Independent's investment club is a member-led group, predominantly women and including some observers who are not yet accredited but interested in learning. We have over a million in capital that members plan to deploy collectively over the next 12 months.
We've written individual checks and have also come together to form syndicates if the collective deal interest is there. Syndications are currently running around $75k but we expect this number to increase to $150k over the next 6-12 months.
Our members come from a range of diverse backgrounds and are eager to learn, change power dynamics, and participate in deals.
We typically focus on seed and pre-seed rounds but are open to a bit later stage where deals align with our interests. We've looked across industries but generally care about impact. The businesses do not need to be women-owned but we are passionate about gender equity and can offer companies access to skilled board members and advisors through our club.
Our process typically includes a virtual pitch to club members, which we like to record for those that can't attend live. If the group has enough interest we move forward into diligence which may include circulating questions by email, an additional phone call or two, and potentially connecting with your prospects, customers, or other investors.
